The Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) has commemorated the 2026 International Customs Day with a commitment to strengthen border security through data-driven and risk-based enforcement.
The 2026 International Customs Day has been commemorated under the theme “Customs Protecting Society Through Vigilance and Commitment.”
ZRA acting Commissioner General Timothy Milambo says the Authority is leveraging technology and innovation to remain ahead of criminal tactics.
He was speaking when he addressed members of staff who gathered at the ZRA headquarters in Lusaka to commemorate the Customs Day.
Mr. Milambo encouraged staff in ZRA to renew their commitment to serve the country with excellence and integrity.
And Acting ZRA Commissioner Customs Services Division Chikumbi Chama said Customs officers remain committed to ensuring that legitimate trade flows smoothly while threats are identified and neutralised.
The commemoration also saw recognition of outstanding customs officers and partners.
