The Zambia Revenue Authority has seized 4,896 bottles of Benylin containing codeine, a prohibited substance in Zambia.
The seizure was made today at Makeni Enforcement Centre during a physical inspection of a truck from South Africa, laden with baking products. The truck entered Zambia through the Kazungula border.
The drugs contained in 102 cases have been handed over to the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) while the truck has been seized by the Revenue Authority.
