The Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) has received two servers from the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).
The servers will provide ZRA with improved system reliability and enhanced security for efficient data management.
ZRA’s Acting Director, Data Analytics, Arnold Chimfwembe says the servers will support achievements to a simplified, efficient and reliable business system.
Earlier, ZRA’s Acting Director, Executive Support, Laban Simbeye said over the years GIZ has supported the tax authority’s drive to become a modern and data-driven tax administration.
The donation is from the Multi-Donor Project “Strengthening Good Financial Governance in Zambia IV” (GFG IV).
Meanwhile, GIZ Teal Leader for Domestic Resource Mobilization David Schultz, said ZRA’s innovative drive aligns with GIZ’s vision.
He said that the technical equipment is important as Zambia strives for financial independence and improved taxpayer compliance.
This initiative is co-financed by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the European Union, and is implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
