ZRA hosted a delegation from the Seychelles Revenue Commission (SRC) for a five day mentorship program aimed at gaining insight and enhancing skills in innovation, internal auditing, enterprise risk management, taxpayer services and education, enforcement, and human resources.
ZRA Commissioner General, Dingani Banda, welcomed the delegation, emphasizing the significance of the initiative in equipping SRC staff with vital tools to strengthen their internal processes. He pointed out that improving revenue efficiency remains a top priority for the authority.
SRC Director of Taxpayer Education and Service Delivery, Sheryl Barra, highlighted the importance of the mentorship program, noting that their commission is currently undergoing transformation and is eager to exchange ideas with ZRA.
Meanwhile, ZRA Acting Commissioner for Business Facilitation, Yvonne Mwanza, emphasized the program’s role in facilitating learning, knowledge transfer, and professional development. She noted that fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation is paramount.
The mentorship program was designed to provide insights into strategies, processes, and reporting mechanisms that support effective governance and risk management within the SRC. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to enhancing capabilities in both authorities.
